Your notes, where threads cross.

Write your notes like a document, structure them like an outline. Every note belongs to several threads at once: a project, a person, a day. Pull a thread and you get its document, ready to edit.

Idea: a multi-view tool

One note, three views. Edit it, move it, nest it: it changes everywhere. Each view shows it in its place, with its parents in grey.

Write a document, get an outline

Headings, paragraphs, lists, to-dos: type / for all of it. The structure shows up when you need it: fold a section, move a block, zoom into a node.

No main view

A project, a person, a day, a search: each view is the same notes seen from another angle. One structure, and every view is editable.

Context files it for you

Write from the #alpha view and your note is in #alpha. And in the day you wrote it. Tag a node @marie and its whole branch follows.

Everything you expect from an outliner

  • Two modes: Document to write and read, Outline to restructure.
  • Slash commands: / for headings, to-dos, dates, tags and links.
  • Keyboard first: Enter, Tab, ⌥↑↓, zoom into a node, unlimited undo.
  • Markdown in nodes, and any view exported as a Markdown document.
  • Tasks and dates: [ ] becomes a task, #date: opens a calendar.
  • Several panes side by side, each on its own view.
  • Search, sub-tags, and a graph of how your projects and people connect.
  • Drag and drop, multi-select, copy and paste whole branches.

Your notes never leave your device

No account, no server: everything is saved in your browser, with a daily snapshot and export whenever you want. Heddo installs like an app and works offline.
